Artist Bio
Shilpi Dabral is a Bangalore-based contemporary visual artist whose practice has evolved through a journey of curiosity, reinvention, and a deep commitment to artistic exploration. Her artistic voice took shape during her years in Dubai, where immersion in a vibrant multicultural art community encouraged her to embrace geometric abstraction as her primary visual language.
Working primarily with acrylics and mixed media, Shilpi creates interconnected bodies of work that examine universal human experiences through a contemporary abstract lens. Her paintings have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections across India, the UAE, and Europe.
Guided by a belief in the power of giving, Shilpi extends her practice beyond the studio by supporting humanitarian and charitable initiatives through art.
With each new series, she continues to build a thoughtful and evolving practice that seeks to create meaningful connections across cultures, experiences, and perspectives.

Artist Statement
My artistic practice begins with meaning rather than an image. Every painting starts with an emotion, a question, or an idea that gradually evolves into visual form through geometric abstraction.
Working in interconnected bodies of work, I explore the unseen emotional and spiritual landscapes that shape the human experience. Inspired by feminine emotions, nature, resilience, transformation, and belonging, I use geometry, symbolism, layered forms, and texture to express what often exists beyond words.
I do not seek to illustrate a single narrative or provide fixed answers. Instead, my paintings offer space for contemplation, inviting viewers to bring their own memories, emotions, and experiences into the work. Through abstraction, I hope to create moments of quiet connection where personal meaning can emerge naturally.
